Good morning! The corn harvest is well underway this year, leaves are falling off the trees, and I have been doing lots of quilting. Here is a picture of this King size quilt I quilted for one of my customers. It is constructed using half square triangles in scrappy blues and creams. I love how it turned out.

AUTUMN
Good morning friends. It has been so gorgeous in southern Ontario lately. We had Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday and on Monday we had lunch back at the cabin. I got the door painted before the cold weather comes. The colour of the trees are gorgeous this year, but I am afraid it will be coming to an end shortly. The wind will be howling, blowing the leaves off the trees and the rain will come. Then the snow. Thankfully we have all of our wood split for the year. We just finished stacking it this morning.
Have a great day everyone!

FALL TABLERUNNER
Seeing fall is here, I made this table runner for my kitchen table. I think it really sets off my fall centrepiece.
I hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

SUMMER KITCHEN
Gorgeous weather here in Southern Ontario. I've been puttering in my summer kitchen the last couple of days doing some fall decorating. Here are some pictures I took today. I love to decorate my 1930 Findlay Oval cookstove and my hoosier for different seasons. Fall is my all time favourite.

FALL MUMS AND PUMPKINS AND KITTY CAT
Good morning. I'm working out in the gardens today cutting back and weeding. My tub with fall mums and ornamental cabbage is looking good. Our cat "Wide Stripe" wanted to have his picture taken too.
Another gorgeous day here today.
PEAR AND APPLE CRISP
Made this delicious pear and apple crisp from our old apple and pear trees. It was so delicious. A great way to combine apples and pears for the fall season.

PASTA SAUCE
I picked all of the ripe cherry tomatoes this morning, so today I'm making some pasta sauce for the freezer. These are just about to go into the oven for slow roasting. My kitchen will be smelling wonderful all afternoon.

CANNING SEASON
A busy weekend for sure. I got some Chilli Sauce made, but I only made half a batch and will make more this coming weekend. We had some last night with sausages and it was so good. I love this time of year when the canning kettle is going. The kitchen smells wonderful.
I hope everyone is having a great week.

FALL MUMS
One of the things I love about fall is fall mums. I have 2 pots outside of my summer kitchen and I planted some in my gardens along with ornamental cabbages. My vegetable garden is coming to an end, but we have enjoyed all of the goodness for weeks. Last night I made zucchini lasagna and it was so good. Leftovers tonight.
Have a great day everyone.

FALL IS IN THE AIR
Happy Friday everyone! I love these cool nights and warm days. There are some wonderful sounds around such as insects buzzing, crows cawing and bluejays squawking. Yep, fall is just around the corner. My favourite time of year. Autumn leaves, pumpkins, fall mums, apple cider and pumpkin pie. My pumpkins and squash just keep growing in my garden. Soon it will be time to harvest the Sweet Annie. My Tansy has been harvested and it is hanging to dry. I hope everyone has a nice weekend.
Blessings

WOOL DYEING
Yesterday was such a gorgeous day, I decided to do some wool dyeing. I needed some muted greens so I decided to dye some and I love the way they turned out. Didn't take very long for them to dry with the nice sunny weather we had.

SUNFLOWERS, BROCCOLI AND SQUASH
Good morning! I was out and about in the garden this morning and took a few pictures. The birds planted this sunflower and it is HUGE. I counted 23 heads on it and it is about 7 ft. high. I haven't seen one like this before. My broccoli is ready and I think we will be having some for dinner tonight along with chicken and some of my sweet corn. The hubbard squash is really getting big too. I'm looking forward to making some great soup this fall with them.
Well, it's Friday, so have a great weekend everyone!!
