FRESH OUT OF THE OVEN

I just took this out of the oven. Saskatoon pie (aka serviceberry pie). We have three bushes of these on the farm, so we picked and froze them for making pies, scones, muffins etc. Love them.

    I've never heard of serviceberries. Is it like a raspberry type fruit?

      They are like blueberries, but have a slight almond flavor to them. The look just like a blueberry.

    I never heard of serviceberries either. Sure looks scrumptious! Love that towel with the crow!
