A WINTER MORNING

I think winter is finally here. Just got back from walking the dogs back to the woods. Lots of winter birds around this year. I took some suet back and hung it from a tree for them to enjoy.

A BUSY TIME OF YEAR

NEW PUPPY

We are enjoying our new puppy so much. His name is Buster Brown. Tomorrow he is going to see snow for the first time. Always love seeing how animals react to seeing snow for the first time. I guess it is that time of year. Today they are calling for high winds and snow coming later today. Stay warm my friends.

I received this beautiful ring today. It is for judging for the American Paint Horse Association for 15 years of service. 
I will wear it proud!

BLACK DONNELLYS

My husband and I had a great time last night. Went out to dinner and then went to see the movie "The Black Donnelly's" in Lucan. A great movie about local history than happened only a few miles from where we live.

OPEN HOUSE

This weekend is my early Fall Open House. We all love this upcoming season. Hope to see you there.

A GREAT WEEKEND

I just arrived home from Nova Scotia. Been away since Friday morning. Spent 2 days judging a wonderful 2 day Paint horse and Open horse show. A great show with lots of entries. 2 long days of judging. A fine group of reiners too. A bit tired today, but resting up. Hope you all had a great weekend.

WEEKEND IN QUEBEC

Good morning! I arrived home in the wee hours this morning. I was in Quebec judging a Paint Horse show. A long drive for sure, took me 9 hours to get there and 2 hours to get through Toronto on Saturday. I loved Quebec. So quaint in the area where the show took place. A great turnout of some great horses. Had I known how to speak French, I would have received the Sirloin steak that I had wanted instead of a shish-caboc that I got when I dined out on Saturday night. A long drive home, can't believe I made it all the way home without having to pull over for a nap. I'll be taking it easy today............I am totally whipped!

A NEW PORCH FOR THE SHOP

Good Sunday morning friends. It is so darned hot here in Southern Ontario this weekend. We cut hay last Thursday and we are going to bale it tonight. Great drying conditions with wind, and hot sun.

Cleaned out the chicken coop this morning and yesterday we cleaned all the Hay Loft out making way for the new fresh hay. 

I wanted to show you a picture of the shop with the new porch. We installed a screen door on Friday and I still need to paint it, but not until the hay is done.

A GREAT HORSE SHOW

Just got home from judging a great 2 day, 4 judge APHA horse show in Saskatchewan. Lots of great horses. Very impressive. I enjoyed judging with my colleagues Robbin Jung, Mike Jung, and Carole Dunbar.
Glad to be home now. Missed my husband and critters.

AMEN!

A SAD DAY

We lost one of our beloved barn cats. He must have got hit on the road. We found him dead in the morning. He was a truly special cat and my husband Stan's favourite. Rest in Peace sweet one.

A QUILT IN THE PARLIAMENT BUILDING

Good day friends. I just wanted to show you all a picture of a quilt that my boss pieced and I quilted for a Gala Auction. The highest bid went to our Conservative MP Bev Shipley. It now hangs in his office in Ottawa. Wow!!! I am so glad that I voted for him.

SUGAR BUSH

A great week here in Ontario. My husband and I went for a wonderful breakfast this week at a local Sugar Bush. We had pancakes with fresh maple syrup, ham, sausage, baked beans and home fries. Lots of fresh brewed coffee too. I love going every spring. We wouldn't miss it.

Sunday Blessings my friends. So cold and blustery here in Southwestern Ontario this weekend.

Kit and I have been cuddling up in front of the fireplace keeping warm. I've been busy doing some quilting, trying to get caught up on some unfinished projects.
