A SNOWY WEEKEND

What a snowy weekend and it is still coming down. We had a lovely walk to the cabin this morning and it was just so calm back there. The snow really does absorb all the sounds. I could have spent the day, but I had some sewing to finish up. I hope you all had a great weekend. I cooked a chicken today and we just finished a delicious dinner of chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, turnip and gravy and a glass of red wine. I have the carcass simmering on the stove to make stock for home made chicken soup.
Blessings

  1. You got much more snow than we did (and that's ok with me). The nice thing about a spring snow is that you know it won't stick around for too long.

  3. This weather is crazy and a good comfort meal like yours really hits the spot! Very little snow for us, but a cold day spent mostly inside with warm socks on! :-)

  4. I wish spring would just come and stay! Did you take that picture? WOW if you did. I am very hungry for chicken and the fixens right now and the soup sounds great because it is going to be another chilly wet week. Enjoy!
