This morning is being spent harvesting my Sweet Annie. I have part of my crop done, but will have to finish it tonight. I could have it finished in a couple of hours, but I have to go to work for 12. I have just started working in a Quilt shop not too far from me and I am really enjoying it. I also have some Tansy to harvest and dry. Here is a picture of the Sweet Annie bundled and hanging to dry.
It is such a beautiful day here today:) I hope it is a beautiful day where you live too.

Good Day Janet, love the look of the Sweet Annie drying and the picture of the furbabies, so cute. Enjoy the nice day, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteI love Sweet Annie, Janet. Did you grow yours from seed? It is perfect when dried and used in prim vignettes.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen.
DeleteI did start mine from seed a few years ago and now it just grows. I love the smell of it. I hang bundles of it in my home.

Sure wish I could buy some of that Sweet Annie! It looks so beautiful and I'll bet it smells great. How's the cabin coming?
ReplyDeleteHi Dawn.
DeleteThe cabin is coming along. We are just waiting for the steel for the roof and the pine for the board and batten siding to be delivered. As for the Sweet Annie......I think I may have a time getting it through customs at the border.

I have never heard of Sweet Annie until now...what do you do with it? Might sound like a dumb question...sorry LOL.

Sweet Annie is a herb. It is mostly used for decorative purposes such as in wreaths. It has a wonderful unique smell. Sometimes it is used in hand creams etc. It grows very easily and profusely. I have read that women who are pregnant should not use Sweet Annie.
