A QUILT FOR "KIT"

I made this Quilt for "Kit" my little Jack Russell. She has lived with us for just over a month now, so I figured she needed her own little quilt. She loves to be covered up when she sleeps and I put flannel on the back so it will be nice and cozy for her. I am pleased with the way it turned out. I made it in the colors she has on her head.
On another note, I can't believe the gorgeous weather we have been having. The temperatures have been in the mid 70's, very unusual for this area. DH and I have been wearing T-shirts and shorts. We even had our lunch outside on the porch. I have spent all day today out weeding my flower beds, transplanting perennials and doing some edging and general clean up. Kit has been outside all day helping :)
I have had a good week with two different road trips with some friends. Lots of friends, food, laughs and visiting some really nice quilt shops.

  4. Hope she knows which quilt is hers or not. My cat assumes all covers are for him. Even the ones in progress

  6. Hello Dear Janet....remember me??? If so, can you find it in your heart to forgive me??? I hope so....I have no excuses - other than my own inability to balance anything these days. And a sorry excuse that is, I know. I just spent some time doing some long-overdue catch-up here - and I am so, so, sorry to hear about Shorty's passing. I wish I had proper words to ease the pain you must still feel, but I have none. I just pray that you realize the happiness you gave her in her life, and that, at some point, her memory will bring a smile to your lips before a tear to your eye.... Your Miss Kit is positively adorable. Welcome to her!! (But, yikes - they are full of energy, aren't they?? Understandably, she's not a "pup" anymore, but my inlaws had one and he never seemed to "slow down." Anyways, congrats - love Kit's new quilt.....Happy belated birthday to your hubby. Can't wait to see your cabin in the bush....(I get a kick out of you Canadians calling it the "bush" - we call it the "woods" or the "forest," but the "bush" is something roundish and smallish that grows in the front yard.... ;o)) Wishing you a week filled with blessings. Hugs ~ Robin

  7. Aw, Kit's quilt is so cute! She is a cutie and I love how you matched the quilt colors with her face. My miniature schnauzer loves my afghan. I have one on the back of a recliner, he's always pawing at it to get it to fall in the seat. Then he paws at it to get it just comfy enough and plops in it. It is my husband's grandmother's afghan so I've decided that I need to find an afghan at a garage sale this summer. Maybe he will then sleep in his crate, lol. It's fun to spoil them. =]

I've been outside working in the yard on and off since the beginning of March, that usually doesn't happen till the beginning of April! Really been enjoying these nice days, glad you are getting them there too.

Road trips with friends are good times for sure! Sounds like you've been having fun, good for you!
